We are a CQC registered service delivering person-centred assessment, care and support, with our ultimate aim being to improve the lives of people with neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, Autism and Learning disabilities.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will have clinics based in Manchester, administering autism and ADHD assessments both in person and virtually.
The role will involve working from home to complete documentation and support other aspects of the service.
Candidates must possess a minimum of two years’ experience in the diagnosis and management of Neurodevelopmental conditions. The individual must have a strong understanding of safeguarding, and risk assessment and management. Proficiency in computer skills is imperative, and training will be provided on our patient record system.
The successful candidate will share our visions and values and have an understanding or passion for working with neurodivergent individuals.
Responsibilities
Undertake in person and virtual Autism and/or ADHD assessments
Preparation of reports within the required timeframes
Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings
Attend monthly management supervision with a member of the senior management team
Support service improvement activities under the direction of the Clinical Team Leader and/or Clinical Director
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in patient record systems, clinical reports and other associated documentation
Present and share relevant information with colleagues
Support and contribute to the training and support of other staff
Undertake clinical duty under the direction of the Clinical Team Lead
Any other duties as deemed to be within the scope of the role Individual
Essential Requirements:
Must be NMC registered
ADOS certification
2 years’ experience in diagnosis of neurodevelopmental conditions
Proficient computer skills
Excellent organisational skills
Problem solving skills and ability to work on own initiative
Attention to detail
Flexible and ability to adapt to the needs of the service
Skilled communicator
Good understanding of data confidentiality
Good understanding of risk assessment, management and dealing with safeguarding concerns

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £45,000.00 per year
Schedule: Flexitime - Monday to Friday
Experience: Nursing: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification: NMC (MUST)
Work Location: In person/Hybrid
Flexible Working options:
Travel to clinics will be required. The role is mainly remote, with occasional travel to our head office; however, the office is available for those who would prefer to work there more regularly.
There is an ability to vary start and finish times (e.g. between 8am and 6pm) while maintaining core hours.
Option to work compressed hours (full weekly hours over four days).
Adjusted hours for appointments/caring responsibilities with prior arrangement.

About Skylight Psychiatry
Skylight Psychiatry was set up by two professionals with a common goal to improve the lives of the neurodiverse population.
Dedicated to providing the right support for the neurodiverse population and through their own professional and personal experiences, identifying the ongoing imbalance between those waiting for formal assessments/treatment and the current support offered by stretched NHS services during a global pandemic, who do their best to provide this support.
The additional waiting times cause prolonged suffering for patients and this is one of the main reasons why Skylight Psychiatry was formed.
